Panorama - February 2008
Some piccies & a movie from Panorama Mountain Village (Canada)
Stew had been here the previous year & was hoping for a revisit. Five of us went this time, all staying at the slope side hotel Pine Inn. We got a great deal, it cost us £379 each for eleven nights..........bargain!
It snowed for about half of the days we were there, so most of the pistes kept a nice soft surface. There was plenty of powder to be found in the tree runs, Sun Bowl, Founders Ridge & Extreme Dream Zone :-) The rest of the days were a mixture of sunny & overcast.
Panorama is in British Columbia's Rockies. It's a purpose built resort, a few miles up the road from the lake-side town of Invermere. It's not very well known to the Brits, I think the long transfer from Calgary puts them off. The village is quite quiet too, not much nightlife at all. But the ski area is fairly large with something for everyone & it has one of the biggest verticals in North America.
