Söll - September 2009
Some piccies & a movie from our trip to Söll (Austria).
We did another last minute holiday to Austria & finished up going to Söll, staying at the Gasthof Tenne. It's always good to subject yourself to a weeks worth of typical Austrian food & drink. We shared our table with a lovely couple from Newcastle, Avril & Brian, and became really good friends with them by the end of the holiday :-)
We didn't cover quite as much mileage walking as Stew would have liked, I had to keep reminding him "we're on holiday" ;-) We got a couple of really sunny days, a couple of overcast ones & a couple of drizzly days, so it wasn't too bad for the end of the summer season.
Söll sits in a valley at the base of Hohe Salve mountain. It's part of the SkiWelt, Austria's largest linked ski area with over 250kms of runs. The other villages include; Going, Ellmau, Scheffau, Itter, Hopfgarten & Brixen, which surround the SkiWelt area.
